Dear Brothers and Sisters,
As you will notice we have only one saint that liturgically is celebrated this week, St. Gregory the Great. The title of “Great” has only been attributed to a few throughout our history. This is not a title that should be seen as more “important” then lesser saints, but rather those that are identified with this title played a significant role in the direction and theological development of our Catholic Church. Every person that is raised to the Communion of Saints has played an instrumental role in the living faith of the faithful. I invite you to consider with gratitude those people in your life that have significantly impacted your faith and life. Some of these people may only be a memory but reflect upon how they impact you today.
New gardens have been planted at both parishes, and I greatly enjoy their freshness. They bring a sense of energy and anticipation. The projects only are possible because of the generosity of parishioners and from other benefactors. I love the changes of seasons, but we all know that it takes work to protect them and help them grow from our changing weather.
Many programs are finalizing their upcoming schedules. Please take a few extra minutes to formalize yourself with these programs. The website is a great resource. Even if you’re not connected to any program, the information you find and learn becomes a resource for others who may ask you about programs being offered at your parish. Simple way of evangelizing!!
